An established London-based charity are seeking an Events Coordinator to join the team on a temp-to-perm contract. The charity itself has a reputation for organising world-class scientific events, offering a multitude of grants for research, as well as grants for collaboration and international travel, and publishing the latest developments in their leading scientific journals.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Head of Events, and Events Manager, with the Events Coordinator (your role) making up the team of 3. You will be responsible for coordinating logistics and communication with speakers and board members for large-scale events, and will have some autonomy in running some of the smaller events as well. As the events take place UK-wide, this role will have an element of travel in it.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong administrative background with a high attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrable organisational skills
- Experience working with academics is beneficial but not essential
The salary on offer is between £28k and £32k. This is a hybrid role, requiring you to be in the office 8 days per month, with the core day of Wednesday always in office.
