Junior PA for International Law Firm (Entry-Level) (ID:16495)
6-month FTC, full-time hybrid position offering up to £25,000 depending on experience.
Are you an aspiring PA looking to kick-start your career? An exciting opportunity to work for an international law firm as a Junior PA has become available! Based in Birmingham, the successful applicant will be a critical member of the team; liaising on behalf of the fee earners and playing an crucial role in the care of clients.
Key responsibilities of the role would include:
- Administrative duties including diary management, arranging travel and meetings both internally and with clients, filing, photocopying and scanning, helping prepare pitches and presentations to support fee earners in marketing activities and handling client queries
- Using systems effectively and efficiently to ensure tasks are completed within the required timescales, producing and maintaining Excel spreadsheets and entering, updating and maintaining client details on the firm’s contacts system
- Correspondence, including taking and responding to telephone and email queries both internal and external in an efficient and timely manner, and ensuring all relevant correspondence – including staff absence and all client-related communication – is passed to the appropriate fee earner
- Assisting fee earners’ credit control and billing processes; assuring their time is properly recorded and entered, completing payment documentation and assisting fee earners to ensure Solicitors Accounts Rules compliance
Prospective applicants must have good IT and typing skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office. They must have excellent communication skills, be able to take initiative and work to deadlines and be conscientious; with a strong attention-to-detail and thrive working as part of a team.
Ideally, candidates will also have previous experience working within legal admin or coordination, although this is not essential.
