Private Household CFO or Chief of Staff

£110,000 - £160,000 doe

We are looking to hire a highly intelligent, confident and enthusiastic CFO or Chief of Staff to work for an UHNW but discreet family. Working directly with the impressive and highly successful principals (they have legal and finance backgrounds) you will manage every area of finance for their family including:

• All finance processes – implement and oversee 

• Number crunching - research, analysis, spreadsheets

• Budgetary control and negotiation – overseeing major refurbishment projects and every day household costs (ensuring best price)

• HR and Payroll for 15 household staff

• Payment of invoices (5 properties)

• Bank accounts

• Property acquisitions 

• Setting up trusts

• Forward planning – wills etc

• Assisting external accountants with tax returns

Working 5 days from an office/house in a central London location.

It’s a new role, so masses of scope to make it your own.

Apart from being super-numerate and able to process figures at the speed of light, with an exceptional eye for detail, you will also need to be emotionally intelligent to fit in with the family, and have a flexible, upbeat personality - a self-starter, who is collaborative and enjoys being part of a small team. You will be expected to keep the principals up-to-date and always offering informed advice.

An accountancy qualification or relevant finance experience is essential.

But, it could suit:

• A CFO or Chief of Staff who is currently working for a private family or a Private Family Office

• A CFO or Chief of Staff with small company or start-up experience

• An accountant wanting to move from corporate to a private family

• An ambitious graduate with accounting who loves budgets/analysis but wants a varied role
